Deviated Route
Tillamook County Transportation District has designed it’s public transportation In-county routes to be deviated routes in order to accommodate the needs of more customers and to ensure all individuals have access to public transportation service. Route deviation requests are permitted on the following “Wave” routes:
- Route 1: Tillamook TownLoop
- Route 2: Netarts/Oceanside
- Route 3: Idaville, Bay City, Garibaldi, Rockaway Beach, Wheeler, Nehalem, Manzanita and Cannon Beach
- Route 4: Beaver, Hebo, Cloverdale, Pacific City, Neskowin and Lincoln City
Requesting a Route Deviation
Anybody can request a route deviation. Deviation requests may be scheduled by calling the dispatch center at 503-815-8283. If you need a deviation to be picked up you must call the dispatch center at least 2 hours in advance of your requested pickup. Riders who need a deviation when dropped off are allowed to request a deviation from the driver when boarding the bus. Deviation requests are limited to up a maximum 3/4 of mile from the established route, $1.00 will be charged for this service. Deviation requests that result in damage to the bus or compromises the safety of the driver and other passengers will be denied.
Bus Stops – Flag Stops
Visible bus stops have been established along all of the “Wave” routes to provide riders information on where they can get on and off the bus. Flag Stops are allowed on all “Wave” In-county routes to accommodate more riders. Please check the NWConnector.org website and Google Maps to select locations where the bus can safely get off and back onto the road. Flag Stops are not permitted on the “Wave’s” following intercity and commuter routes:
- Route 5: Tillamook – Banks – North Plains – Sunset Transit Center – Portland
