Seaside McDonalds Bus Stop Moved

Due to road construction the Route 101 bus stop at

Seaside McDonalds has been moved 2 blocks north on Highway 101 to the second entrance of the parking lot of the old Seaside Middle School. Paratransit and Dial A Ride Service Operating/Paratransit y Marque un viaje operando 5-8-2023

Sunset Empire Transportation District has announced that it began operating ADA Paratransit and Dial A Ride services Monday May 8, 2023. “This will be a reduced version of our regular Paratransit and Dial A Ride services” said Interim Executive Director Paul Lewicki. “This is a vital service to many in our community, but we are moving forward very cautiously.” Lewicki said.  Paratransit is provided to persons with disabilities or with conditional or temporary disabilities that cannot access or utilize fixed route bus services and use of this service requires completion of an application to determine eligibility. Dial a Ride services are offered to customers who are not served or are underserved from the Jeffers Garden/Miles Crossing areas or the John Day, Svenson and Knappa areas. Trip destinations must be in the Astoria and Warrenton area. For more information go to the SETD website at nworegontransit.org or call 503-861-7433 #2.

Sunset Empire Transportation District ha anunciado que comenzó a operar los servicios ADA Paratransit y Dial A Ride el lunes 8 de mayo de 2023. “Esta será una versión reducida de nuestros servicios regulares de Paratransit y Dial A Ride”, dijo el Director Ejecutivo Interino Paul Lewicki. “Este es un servicio vital para muchos en nuestra comunidad, pero estamos avanzando con mucha cautela”. Dijo Lewicki.  Paratransit se proporciona a personas con discapacidades o con discapacidades condicionales o temporales que no pueden acceder o utilizar los servicios de autobús de ruta fija y el uso de este servicio requiere completar una solicitud para determinar la elegibilidad. Los servicios de Dial a Ride se ofrecen a los clientes que no reciben servicio o están desatendidos de las áreas de Jeffers Garden / Miles Crossing o las áreas de John Day, Svenson y Knappa. President Debbie Boothe-Schmidt, Chair of the Sunset Empire Transportation District (SETD) Board, announced that she received the resignation of Executive Director Jeff Hazen on May 2, 2023. Boothe-Schmidt also announced that Paul Lewicki has accepted the position of Interim Executive Director in the district. Lewicki previously served on the District Board and was previously employed in the district as Director of Operations. Chairwoman Boothe-Schmidt has also confirmed that the district will receive a loan from the Oregon Department of Transportation for $505,000 that will initially be used to restart Paratransit services in the county next week and begin reduced regular route service as soon as possible.

Boothe-Schmidt también anunció que Paul Lewicki ha aceptado el puesto de Director Ejecutivo Interino en el distrito. Lewicki anteriormente sirvió en la Junta de Distrito y anteriormente fue empleado en el distrito como Director de Operaciones. La presidenta Boothe-Schmidt también ha confirmado que el distrito recibirá un préstamo del Departamento de Transporte de Oregón por $ 505,000 que inicialmente se utilizará para reiniciar los servicios de Paratránsito en el condado la próxima semana y comenzar un servicio de ruta regular reducido lo antes posible.
