What is Dial-A-Ride
There are lots of reasons to call Dial-A-Ride: Appointments-Shopping-Visiting-Fun!
Welcome to Dial-a-Ride!
Dial-a-Ride is designed to provide transportation to customers who are currently not served or underserved from the Jeffers Garden/Miles Crossing areas or the John Day, Svensen and Knappa areas. Trips must be scheduled 2 days in advance. Trip destinations must be in the Astoria and Warrenton areas and within 20 miles from the original pick up.
Dial-a-Ride is curb to curb transportation that travels beyond the scope of our regular Fixed Route Bus and Paratransit Services and is available only through advance reservations. Anyone residing within the specific service areas is eligible to use Dial a Ride. This is a shared ride service so allow for schedule fluctuations when making appointments.
How to Schedule Your Ride
Reservations can be made by calling the RideAssist reservation line at:
503-861-7433 (Option #2). The reservation line is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Reservations must be made 2 or more days in advance. This is a shared ride service so pickup and drop off times are an estimate.
Please be prepared to answer the following questions that the scheduler will ask when you call:
- What is your date of birth?
- Where do you live?
- Where would you like to go?
- When do you want to be picked up?
- When would you like your return trip pick-up?
- Will you be using a mobility device?
- Will you someone be accompanying you?
