Take to the skies at Willamette Valley Soaring Club, which offers glider flights on warm days. These two-person gliders are pulled into the air by a tow plane, and then set loose to soar on thermals rising from the ground. You’ll enjoy an incredible view of the valley. The field is about two miles out of town, so you’ll need to either request a flag stop from your driver, or get off at the North Plains stop and walk or bike. Please call ahead at (503) 647-0913.
