Did you know that there are over 40 employees keeping the wheels going at SETD?

We have amazing bus operators who not only maneuver extra-large heavy vehicles through every type of traffic condition, across narrow streets, sharp corners and during all kinds of adverse weather, but they also are responsible for pre-trip safety checks, cleaning, sanitizing, handling fares, trip planning, maintaining tight schedules and more.

SETD also has an amazing crew of employees behind the scenes who are supervisors, mechanics, accountants, schedule designers, dispatchers, trainers, customer service representatives, marketing representatives, mobility specialists, transportation options specialists and more.  

You can join us in letting our drivers and employees know they are appreciated by:

• Say “Thank you” or “Have a good day” to your driver when you board or exit the bus.

• Writing a note or filling out an attached SETD Compliment form or using a Compliment Form that will be available on the buses, at the Astoria Transit Center and Seaside Transit Office from March 14^th through March 18^th. Compliment forms can be given to driver’s or dropped off at the Astoria Transit Center or Seaside Transit Office.

All compliments submitted will be shared and displayed for SETD employees to read.

Día de Apreciación del Pasajero

Sunset Empire Transportation District ha anunciado que su “Día de Apreciación de Pasajeros” anual se llevará a cabo el 25 de enero de 2022. El Distrito reserva un día cada año y ofrece servicio de autobús gratuito en todas las rutas regulares de autobuses en todo el Condado de Clatsop en agradecimiento por el apoyo continuo de la comunidad y los pasajeros a los que sirve. “Nuestros pilotos son muy importantes para nosotros y queremos que sepan que los apreciamos”, dijo el director ejecutivo Jeff Hazen. The Sunset Empire Transportation District Board of Commissioners is seeking volunteers from Clatsop County who are registered voters and would like to serve on the District Budget Committee.  The Budget Committee is comprised of 7 District Board Members and 7 community members who are appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serve a 3-year term.  There are currently 5 community member positions open on the committee with one being a 2-year fulfillment of a 3-year term. Generally, the Budget Committee meets once each year in the Spring, but they may hold additional meetings if needed.  We are anticipating that the Budget Committee will be meeting virtually via Zoom in 2022.  Those interested in serving on the SETD Budget Committee are asked to submit a letter of interest which can be emailed to [email protected], dropped off at the Astoria Transit Center, 900 Marine Drive, Seaside Transit Office, 39 North Holladay or mailed to Sunset Empire Transportation District, 900 Marine Drive, Astoria, OR 97103. Please submit letters of interest by January 31, 2022.

FREE TRANSPORTATION FOR COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

Free transportation available to any of the Clatsop County COVID Vaccination Clinic’s, local Health Care Providers, or Pharmacies. Transportation is provided by appointment only. Vaccination appointment information will be verified prior to scheduling transportation. Scheduling is required at least 24 hours in advance.

TRANSPORTE GRATUITO PARA LAS VACUNAS CONTRA EL COVID-19

Transporte gratuito disponible para cualquiera de las Clinicas de Vacunación COVID del Condado de Clatsop, proveedores de atención médica locales o farmacias. Recinto ferial del condado de Clatsop: El servicio de autobús gratuito está disponible desde el Centro de Tránsito de Astoria hasta las Clínicas de Vacunas COVID que se llevarán a cabo en el Recinto Ferial de Clatsop el 10 de noviembre y el 17 de noviembre de 4 PM a 7 PM. Los autobuses saldrán del Centro de Tránsito a las 3:30 PM y continuarán recogiendo y dejó pasajeros en el Recinto Ferial y regresarán al Centro de Tránsitocada 30 minutos.

Armería de Astoria y Centro Marítimo deBarbey:  Un servicio de transporte especial estará disponible de 9:30 a.m. a 5:30 p.m.  desde el Centro de Tránsito de Astoria a las dos clínicas de vacunas COVID que se llevarán a cabo en Astoria el 13 de noviembre^a.m. La clínica astoria Armory es de 10 AM a 2 PM. La clínica Barbey  Maritime Center Latino Outreach es de 11 a.m. a 5 p.m. Los autobuses saldrán del Centro de Tránsito a partir de las 9:30 AM con paradas en la Armería de Astoria, Museo Marítimo, Emerald Heights, Museo Marítimo, Armería y regresarán al Centro de Tránsito cada 30 minutos.

Bus service is free for anyone who is going to a COVID Vaccine site or to transfer to one of the COVID Vaccine Clinic shuttle buses. Please let driver know what clinic you are going to when boarding the bus.  

Clatsop County Fairgrounds: Free bus service is available from the Astoria Transit Center to the COVID Vaccine Clinics being held at the Clatsop Fairgrounds on November 10^th and November 17^th from 4 PM to 7 PM. Buses will leave the Transit Center at 3:30 PM and will continue to pick up and drop off passengers at the Fairgrounds and return to theTransit Center every 30 minutes.

Astoria Armory and Barbey Maritime Center: A Special Shuttle will be available from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM from the Astoria Transit Center to both of the COVID Vaccine Clinics being held in Astoria on November 13^th. The Astoria Armory clinic is from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Barbey Maritime Center Latino Outreach clinic is from 11 AM to 5 PM. Buses will leave the Transit Center starting at 9:30 AM with stops at the Astoria Armory, Maritime Museum, Emerald Heights, Maritime Museum, Armory and return to the Transit Center every 30 minutes.
