A public and virtual meeting of the Budget Committee of the Sunset Empire Transportation District, Clatsop County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 will take place on May 18, 2022 at 9 AM at the Astoria Transit Center, 900 Marine Drive Astoria, Oregon. The purpose of the May 18th budget meeting is for the Budget Committee to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the proposed budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee by participating in the public meeting, the virtual meeting or submitting public comments to Executive Director Jeff Hazen at [email protected] or mailing comments to SETD 900 Marine Drive, Astoria OR 97103. Comments must be received no later than 5:00 PM on May 17, 2022. The proposed budget may be viewed on the SETD website at nworegontransit.org after May 9, 2022. A mailed copy of the proposed budget may be requested by calling 503-861-5399 or sending an email request to [email protected]. A second public and virtual Budget Committee meeting will take place on May 25, 2022 at 9 AM. Budget Committee meeting information is also available on the district website at nworegontransit.org. The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) has extended the requirement that all passengers must wear a mask when using BUSES, TRAINS and PLANES and when in terminals and hubs until May 3, 2022. The TSA requirement coincides with Oregon’s March 11, 2022 lifting of indoor mask requirements exceptions.
