Press Release- Executive Director Finalists Meet and Greet 4-13-25

The Sunset Empire Transportation District Board of Commissioners has announced the selection of 4 Semi Finalists that will be interviewed for the Executive Director position. There will be an opportunity for the public to meet with the Semi Finalists at a Meet and Greet/Open House on Sunday April 13th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Astoria Transit Center, 900 Marine Drive, Astoria Oregon. All 4 Semi Finalists will be attending the Meet and Greet. Panelists, who have been recommended by the community, and the SETD Board Members will be interviewing the Semi Finalists on Monday April 14, 2025.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SETD BUDGET COMMITTEE

April 4, 2025

The Sunset Empire Transportation District Board of Commissioners is seeking volunteers from Clatsop County who are registered voters and would like to serve on the District Budget Committee.  The Budget Committee is comprised of 7 District Board Members and 7 Community Members who are appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serve a 3-year term. There are currently 3 Community Member positions open on the SETD budget committee for Fiscal Year 2026. Budget Committee meetings are held up to 3 times a year.

Those interested in serving on the SETD Budget Committee are asked to submit a letter of interest which can be emailed to [email protected], dropped off at the Astoria Transit Center, 900 Marine Drive or mailed to Sunset Empire Transportation District, 900 Marine Drive, Astoria, OR 97103.

Please submit letters of interest by April 22, 2025.

TCTD Seeks to Fill Board Vacancy-Position 4

The Tillamook County Transportation District Board of Directors is seeking candidates to fill the vacant Position 4 seat.

Tillamook County Transportation District Board of Directors consists of seven (7) elected members, each of whom serves a four (4) year term.  Directors receive no compensation, with the exception of some pre-authorized training classes and/or seminars, which include reimbursement for meals and mileage, and a stipend for public meeting attendance.

Commitment for this position includes attending regular business meetings that are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm, as well as budget meetings, special meetings, and workshops called by the Board.

This position’s term expires on June 30, 2027, and the person appointed by the Board of Directors to serve in this position must apply to the District no later than Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Veterans Day November 11, 2024. All Weekday Routes Operating.

ATTENTION: ROUTE #15 TEMPORARY ROUTE CHANGE STARTING 9/23/24

Starting Monday 9/23/2024 for an estimated two weeks, Dolphin Road will be closed due to construction.  Route #15 will not be able to provide bus service from Bugle Ave/SE Willow Dr to Warrenton Middle School to Dolphin Rd.  Rt #15 will resume regular scheduled service at the SE Ensign Ln & Hwy 101, white bench in front of Taco Bell.

A partir del lunes 23/09/2024, durante un estimado de dos semanas, Dolphin Road estará cerrada debido a la construcción.  La Ruta #15 no podrá proporcionar servicio de autobús desde Bugle Ave/SE Willow Dr hasta Warrenton Middle School y Dolphin Rd.  La Rt #15 reanudará el servicio regular programado en el SE Ensign Ln y la Hwy 101, banco blanco frente a Taco Bell.
